More winter than fall.

Coming down from the studio, I looked into the dark area below the tree line and I saw my first snow flakes, constrasting against the dark, feather their way onto the leaves, themselves barely laid to the earth.

Beautifully said. When my six year old, Evelyn, woke up last night around 11, I took her to the window to see the snow falling by the street light at the barn across the road.

I hope this will not be a sign of bad winter ahead. I almost could not believe that snow was here and it is October. We have been spoiled by the mild winters of late. maybe, it's time to get some wood under the shed.
