Those are just lovely, especially like the bed of moss. I hope to one day visit that part of the country, been seeing so many photos of the Roan lately and it looks so lovely with the azaleas and rhododendrons blooming.
Pottery, woodfiring, highfired clay, salt, soda, glazing, studio, sculpture, functional clay, and generally life in the studio. Four decades of spinning clay and burning fuel has kept my love/hate relationship with the earth alive and kicking. The free exchange of information is the key to a continued education and increased skills even when you live in the sticks. My mentor once said that “If you know your materials, there are no secrets.”

Nice shots Ron. Jim and I were up there Saturday, but it was too foggy for picture taking, not to mention the cold. Next time I'll take a jacket!
